Hmm... I see your point. The issue about copyright is troubling. I support this because, while I do enjoy transcriptions, or just being able to find sheet music for that song I just heard on the radio, I'd still like to find out what other composers have written, themselves. But the copyright is an issue, which is probably why this has been under review for so long.
Yes, people could lie, but that's like saying all alcoholic beverages should be banned because people get drunk, but there are chefs who use them extensively. I get your concern, though.
Agreed, it gets very cluttered-looking.
