There's just way too many reasons this would be great... In my case, one of my bandmates also has an account and a friend system would be great for us to compose songs for the band and organize.

A forum is pretty much essential in any site, it brings together the community to discuss various topics. In the case of a music website like this I imagine people would discuss stuff like theory, their own songs and music in general. It kinda surprises me that Noteflight doesn't have a forum yet.

There's one if you get Crescendo, I think you get both a crash and a splash-y one. Still that doesn't change the fact that a crash is essential to mark accents and the start of phrases. An open hi-hat is the closest you can get right now, but still not the same.

A drum set without a crash isn't a drum set. :P It's essential for accents, especially in rock music. I agree with this. Latin percussion would be great as well, though I've never composed in that style.
Perhaps there could be separate tags for transcriptions, originals, and arrangements?
