Are you finding that our editor is working better for you? What are some pain points that are still happening for you? We know that with very large scores, editing can still be slow.
Just a note here since there are quite a few followers of this suggestion: we are working hard to improve HTML5 performance and expect to release a fix in tomorrow's upgrade that makes editing of larger scores much, much faster. There are many issues left to fix, but we are working hard to make HTML5 work as well as possible for everyone since there is simply no way to keep Flash alive.
Yes, very good point on the Title editability in Strip mode. I have just filed a bug for this.
The current Your News screen allows one to view you and your friends' activity on demand. It would be nice to get emails summarizing your activity and those of people you follow.
Thanks, some good points here. We are well aware of some of the limitations you pointed out. A couple of relevant bits of info:
- A few months ago we did fix the "R" feature to work with a single voice, if only that voice is selected. And it is now possible to copy and paste between voices. This is described in our docs.
- You can also have a voice end in the middle of a measure by using the Hide feature on the Crescendo Colors palette to hide the rests.
Note that you can force any desired number of measures onto a line by changing the "line spacing" setting in Document Layout.
This is very important to us also and we're working on it!
Thanks for your comments -- they are not disappearing into a hole, we are thinking about exactly these kinds of things!
A lot of great suggestions here – we are looking carefully at these!
On Firefox/Mac, the Command key does actually work for most key combinations, as well as Ctrl. This is highly browser-dependent, unfortunately.
Thanks, we've added this to our bug database!
The instruments do not sound great, for an important reason: they are optimized for fast download, which means they are mono, 22kHz, and heavily looped. Most users seem to like the fater download time and are asking for a broader range of instruments, but not necessarily for really good sounding ones which would slow the download a lot.
We are about to release MIDI export, which ought to help.
Thanks -- we are thinking about how to implement a category system, and I expect we will roll something out that addresses this sooner or later.
I would like Noteflight to optionally play back chord voicings by interpreting chord symbols.
Chord frames are a staple of pop and rock charts. Gotta have 'em!
