The music can't be properly interpreted for performance without slurs. Here's my vote...

tag:feedback.noteflight.com,2008-02-07:Event/4454092009-06-15T20:39:29+00:002009-06-15T20:39:29+00:00Support pedal notations, 8va/8vb, etc. [updated]
Lots of piano music uses these notations. C'mon, Noteflight, get to work!

tonedeaf said:

Pedal notations are abosolute essential as they actually affect the playback sound of the piece. Without them, the bass clef arpeggios sound very clumpy. This feature should be included. 8va 8vb are good to have too. A lot of musical pieces depend on these symbols.

tag:feedback.noteflight.com,2008-02-07:Event/4454012009-06-15T20:36:44+00:002009-06-15T20:36:44+00:00Play back according to repeat bar lines and endings [updated]
I would like to be able to get Noteflight to play back my score according to repeat barlines, DC al fine, and in this context also make the first repetition play the first ending, and second repetition play second ending and so on.

tonedeaf said:

yes alternate endings, Da Capo, Dal Segno are essential constructs which should be supported. I hope you're planning to add this soon.

tag:feedback.noteflight.com,2008-02-07:Event/4429302009-06-15T01:40:33+00:002009-06-15T01:40:33+00:00allow us to be able to chat with friends [updated]
i dont really know this site all that well, cause i just joined, but from what i have seen it doesnt seem like we can talk to friends about our compositions.

Polina said:

i think that this is a great idea!!!

As such, I want to be able to use it in conjunction with the numerous scores I've already started on my home computer. My software at home saves only in the MIDI format, so I need to be able to import MIDI to keep working on these pieces using Noteflight. I know you're already working on this; I just want to add to the call for this feature to bolster support for your efforts, and possibly raise the priority of MIDI import.

tag:feedback.noteflight.com,2008-02-07:Event/4201572009-06-06T17:21:36+00:002009-06-06T17:21:36+00:00Export a score as an mp3 or wma [updated]
I want to be able to export my scores as mp3 files to be able to listen to them in a normal scenario (i.e. on a cd). I can't do that with midi and I haven't found a way to convert midi yet, so that would be a great feature. You could also do wma, wav, m4a, etc. to fit ones taste.

cjolsen said:

If you want to convert MIDI to mp3 or WAV, go to the NCH webpage. They have a program called "Switch". It works very well (I just use the free, trial version). Remember, though, MIDI does not make for the best sound files, so the mp3's uses are rather limited.
