have keyboard shortcuts for rhythms when writing for snare or drums. Or am I missing something?
To change durations you can use the left and right bracket keys [ and ]
These are a very quick way to do the rhythm as you go along.

Using the bracket keys allows you to avoid the mouse.
To create two 8ths then a quarter note, you would type as follows:
Note name (produces quarter note by default)
[ (changes it to an 8th note)
Next note name (value is set to 8th, so next note will be another 8th)
Next note name (produces a third 8th note)
] (changes that new 8th to a quarter)
Does that help?

We have the keyboard shortcut to enter pitches by typing the note name. I have a quarter note selected and hit enter then nothing happens. What do I type to enter rhythms? I understand using the brackets but I don't want to use a mouse to enter every sixteenth note on a snare drum.
