I can barely get anything done due to some of the lag!!1 vote
We are so sorry to hear this is happening! We have found that Chrome browser works the best – if you are using another browser, could you try the latest version of Chrome?
If that doesn’t help, please write to firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know the browsers you have tried, and the link to a score where this is happening.
The overlay Menubar works fine on Android but not in iOS (iPad) browsers. Checked it on Safari & Chrome.4 votes
I've tried importing MIDI files from other sources recently, and Noteflight never seems to notate correct rhythm anymore. I've tried new files, and old files that used to import just fine, but nothing imports properly even though it used to just fine.3 votes
Thank you for this info! Could you please write to email@example.com and send several examples, including if possible:
1, new and old scores, incorrect and correct respectively
2. the MIDI files you imported to create those scores, as attachments
3. images showing the way the rhythms looked in the program that produced the MIDI files
4. the name of the program you used to create the MIDI files.
In the latest update, I noticed that you could play the score with a mini play/stop button to the left of the score. And when you click on it, it starts playing the score from the beginning, and will play through until the end unless it is stopped. However, I was wondering if we could maybe highlight what measures were to be played in the preview so that we could choose what to be played rather than going through the whole piece from the beginning.3 votes
Cool idea – thank you! We will give it full consideration.
fix the bug where resizing the bar causes functionality to crash4 votes
We are sorry to hear this is happening and we want to get this resolved right away. Could you please write to firstname.lastname@example.org with full details about what’s happening, including steps you follow, what goes wrong, a link to a score and the browser you’re using? Thank you!
The "Your Public Scores" link is missing.1 vote
We removed this for a very exciting reason… stay tuned for some big news from Noteflight very soon!
I would like an option to hear what all the voices are playing when I am editing the pitch of a note, so that I can hear what the note sounds like in the context of the other voices.1 vote
Could this be fixed? It is a very minor issue, but the numbers on my Score Dashboard do not match up with those of my homepage; I am sure I'm not the only one experiencing this problem.
Hello, We are eager to make sure this is working! Could you explain a little further what you are seeing? Are you saying that in your Home screen, if you count up all the favorites and comments manually, those numbers do not match the numbers in the Dashboard? Or did I misunderstand? Please feel free to write to email@example.com with examples. Thanks!
I'm working on an a cappella SATB choral score. I would prefer to give our accompanist a piano reduction of the parts, rather than making her read four different vocal lines. I was hoping there would be a way to do this in Noteflight, but it appears that I have to input all of the parts individually again (this time on the piano staff) to create this piano part.4 votes
We don’t offer full automation for this, but with our current tools you would only need to re-enter two of the parts: copy-paste one of the upper parts to the piano treble staff, and one of the lower parts to bass, and then add the other two.
Hope that helps a bit!
It'd be nice to have a playback capable of sounding solid cymbal chokes, ghost notes, etc.1 vote
When multiple notes (in my specific case whole notes) are tied together with multiple ties, there is no ability to add in an audible crescendo between the tied notes, instead you must separate the notes and remove the ties, which just doesn't have the same effect in the piece I am creating. I don't know how hard it is to add in this feature, but if it could be fixed, I would greatly appreciate it.3 votes
Thank you – we plan to improve our playback functionality overall and that should help with this!
I'm trying to import a MIDI file which has a lot of tempo changes.
Could Noteflight import a MIDI file with tempo changes without losing tempo changes ?1 vote
Hello, glad to help and I’m sorry for the delay! Could you send the MIDI file to us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can take a look? If you could include the source file (from which you exported it) and the Noteflight score link you imported it to, that would help too.
When pressing 'r' to repeat the first note of a triplet, it glitches and adds strange rests, instead of just repeating that note on the 2nd beat of the triplet.1 vote

We have several language options but not yet Nederlands. But we will be adding more languages soon!
As a free user, I would much rather be spammed with popups or covered in advertisements than be limited to only 10 scores. The added revenue from ads would make up for the lost revenue from free users. This would also give customers a new incentive to buy Noteflight subscriptions, because paid version would be ad free.3 votes
Noteflight is great. I won't deny that. They're really good at what they do. But if I could choose a couple new instruments, I would highly recommend these
8-bit sounds: I just think it would be awesome to mess around with retro sounds. You could also add 16-bit, 32-bit, ect. Plus, Noteflight's instruments are computer generated, so it probably wouldn't be that hard. (But I hardly know anything about coding, so...)
The accordion: It would probably be extremely hard to make, but I really like the accordion and it would be awesome.9 votes
Cool idea! For the accordion, please add your vote here: http://feedback.noteflight.com/forums/4962-tell-us-your-thoughts/suggestions/4866973-new-instruments
Obviously I play accordion so including the symbols would be a great help. Even if importing the symbols.
Ive been using noteflight since i was a teenager so it's all I've ever used. Now that I'm 18 it seems that noteflight isn't able to keep up with me anymore. It seems most practical to have a dedicated app for tablets since paper is diminishing. Please noteflight, we would like a app where we can compose offline and be able to take our compositions anywhere.4 votes
Thanks for your message and it’s so great to hear you’ve been using Noteflight for so long! I want to make sure you know you can already use Noteflight on any device including tablets and phones: just open the browser on the device and navigate to our site. It’s not an app, as such, but it ends up functioning a lot like one. What do you think?
It would be really nice if we could change the amount of strings on a bass guitar from 4-6 strings on the tablature notation.

Would a combination of the following work?
Create a guitar, then change the name:
Then, change the tunings of the strings:
Would that work?
