  This would be SO helpful! I enter these composition contests every year and the judges always like measure numbers.

  this is a great idea! i really wish there was a way to do this, my music needs measure numbers also

  Very simple idea, but immeasurably valuable (pun intended!). Measure numbers, though, are usually printed at the start of each system.

  number every measure actually, when i see a piece of music most of the time it has every measure numbered and special number for a change in style or something like that
