Shift notes and symbols horizontally
At the moment, we can shift notes and symbols vertically, but what if we wanted to swap the order of two notes, or move a rest to a different position? In order to do this we'd need to be able to move notes and rests horizonally as well.
Also when I extend the duration of a note (changing it from a quaver to a crotchet) If the measure is already full, it simply deletes the remaining notes instead of shifting them along to the next measure.
I think the app should at least ask what I want to do with the remaining notes, don't you?
Otherwise a brilliant app.. I love using it!
You can do this in two ways: 1) by selecting a range of notes and dragging horizontally, 2) select a range of notes, do a Cut, then select the new start point of the range, and do a Paste.

While transcribing, I left out a measure on one part only. Now that I'm done, it looks like I'll have to start all over because when I try to paste in the missing measure, it simply pastes right over the existing measure that I want to keep. I need to be able to SHIFT one measure over in one part only.

The next release will contain horizontal dragging of individual notes and symbols, selected ranges and entire sections of the score. There are no questions popped up -- none of the new gestures are ambiguous. Dragging something that is already selected will generally move it (or copy it, if Ctrl/Command is held down) to the new location.

Re duration, I like that when I change a duration it only affects the bar I'm in, and nothing outside. When I change a bar, I want the measure to remain the same - pushing a note out to the next bar would change the structure. Tho I'm coming from a songwriting angle; tune writers might feel differently. :) I also wouldn't want annoying questions every time I change something.

It's a potentially useful feature and a number of users have asked for it. We're going to think carefully about how this should work, since it would have a global impact on the user interface.
