as far as i could tell, the tempo seems to only measure how fast quarter notes go, which can cause a problem if you have something in 4:2, 2:2, 3:8, 6:8, 9:8, or something similar.....maybe if we could choose which kind of note goes how fast (like a dotted quarter note to go so and so many bpm, or a half note) it would help a lot
