Add a forum
I would like to be able to talk to other composers for some advice or just to be able to chat about being composers.
We're interested in the forum idea -- we've always been thinking about how musical discussions would work since the beginning -- and thinking about how it should relate to the site we have today. Should this be just a regular discussion group or should it include special features for embedding or linking to Noteflight scores?

hey why not have a 'tag' or 'search' ability FOR the comments? this way they'll be linked to the relevant pieces on noteflight anyway, it'd just be a case of presenting the comment information in 'this' format (ie, this forum) instead of solely with the piece. na mean? so there could be a rolling list of new comments, and also perhaps a few pre-ordained 'tags' to attach to the comments like forum titles. for example, i could write a comment on my piece saying 'this should have portamento' and tag it unde... more

Anyone can create a forum, it doesn't have to be sanctioned by Noteflight. Maybe some helpful person could start one and save the Noteflight developers the time so they can work on Noteflight.

I think that forums should be added because Noteflight should me more than just a place to share music, it should also be a place to share information. It would be very beneficial.

yea this would be a great contribution, it would build a community here and youd gain alot of users

Also agreed. If leaving comments on a score itself proves to be too complicated, why not set the forum up? With that done it should be easy for anyone who wants advice to simply link to their score's page... embedding sounds like a nifty feature, but why couldn't one just work with the features (like hotlinks) that any readymade forum template would already have available?
It seems to me that this feedback page is a perfect template itself.

I think a combination of both. Discussion and embedding put together. Definitely add the forum.
