Comments. Allow users to comment on public scores.
Seems pretty obvious, if somebody has made their score public they obviously want other people to listen to it. I don't think it's too much to presume they'd also like to receive comments on their music. I saw somebody else suggested ranking scores, but I think this would be to competitive, too vulnerable to upmod / downmod squad tactics.
In release 1.3 (just out) we’ve introduced a new bunch of social features, including comments and favorites.

I think there should be two kinds of comments: One like before, and only on editable scores to comment on certain passages of music or to explain edits etc., and one that works like a forum or youtube-comments, to give general feedback and discuss the music like you would in a forum.

Yes, we've been thinking about something that is similar in some ways to what SoundCloud does with comments, only different -- because we're dealing with notation, not audio.

I would take my cues from SoundCloud's commenting system (e.g. http://soundcloud.com/torley/really-beautiful ) which allows for both "regular" and "timed" comments. deathbob has a point that if the score changes after a comment is added then you do have a bit of a dilemma, but I'm sure you can work something out.

We're thinking hard about how best to do this. I agree that the current comment system wouldn't work for you. One of the large questions here is what would discussion threads be "attached" to, in order to access them? My feeling right now is that they're associated directly with scores.

Yea, I think having it in a forum format, kind of like how we're discussing things right now, would be really helpful. I'm extremely impressed with the program and the site, but I was a bit surprized when I realized that you are unable to leave comments on people's work.

I don't think that's enough because 1) I want people to comment on my scores, but don't want my scores edited. 2) If it's attached to a particular spot, and that spot changes, the comment is no longer relevant. Does it then disappear? Who can delete it?
I don't know how hard it would be to integrate something like http://disqus.com/ with your site but maybe something like that?
