in general, i hope that Noteflight people are prioritizing sheet music production and desktop publishing features (e.g., grace notes, double dots, export/import in more formats; offline use) over midi functions (midi entry and playback).

even a basic (let alone advanced) midi IO system is useless without a solid sheet music foundation that is both powerful and streamlined.

i am concerned that many users are pushing for midi features that they use as a crutch, or for Noteflight to become a midi sequencer -- there are plenty of those already!

Given the low latency requirements, "midi over internet" seems out of reach for several years!
