I suggest you ...

Port this application to Adobe Air (Since it's based on flash already anyway)

Hey, why not port this application to Adobe Air? It would make a FANTASTIC desktop app in those times when you don't have a connection to the internet. Now, I'm not a programmer or anything, but if I understand correctly, Adobe Air is a platform that allows developers to port their Adobe Flash applications to run on a desktop environment.

You’re right that it’s technically easy to port the application; in fact, we routinely run Noteflight “in the shop” as an Adobe AIR application for testing purposes. But… there remain many tricky questions surrounding exactly how Noteflight would function as a desktop application, how it would be packaged, how it would be maintained and upgraded, what its file format would be, and on how it would relate to our online environment. So we’re continuing to ponder for now (and we’re not ignoring the idea)!

I think that is a WONDERFUL idea. I was just about to suggest it, until I saw this. You should seriously do it.

And from what I can tell off their website, Adobe offers their Air SDK (development kit?) for free.
