vertical lyric spacing
lyrics may be overlapped by low notes. Perhaps this can be solved by enabling or disabling an auto spacing system? Things may differ between systems as vertical spacing is concearned.

Besides lyrics layout you should have more control over the page layout. For example: If only one staff starts with notes in it you should be able to delete the "silent" staffs

When will this be available? It happens I am about to arrange another song that calls for this (piano and vocal, vocal gets lyrics which requires extra space. Piano should not have extra space.)

Fix overlap using a setting in the menu: View: Document Layout: Staff Spacing

Currently not. [RET.] regardless where only sends in a below-lying line. Finale family has a shown line allowing to adjust it anywhere in page, even under lower score.

But how to add them? [RET.] in the beginning would do, if possible, as this
would send it down one line, as we are used to in text editors etc. Now I try.

If I try to improvise (although I'm not Czech) empty lyric lines could do, as then only spacing between score systems is in need of adjusting.

It is evident: lower lyric lines overlap the lower score notes, so it's needed a possibility to simply drag lower score to make space for lyrics, as in Finale 3.5.

same is true of chords and high notes, vertical spacing in general needs fixing...
