Allow people to help you with the actual source code for this great application!!
You can write out the things you need help with, and many people will be glad to help. :-)
(And its not about stealing your code, I guess that can be done with an swf decompiler. It IS about helping you speed up the process, and advance your application)

This project does not have to be completely open source (it doen't have to be all or nothing) all you need is a list of tasks and an api for outsiders to follow in order to write code to interface with noteflight. After we write the code we send it in and your developers test it and integrate it.

As I read it, this question amounts to asking us to release Noteflight as open source. We understand that there are things Noteflight would gain from this, but there are also things it would lose. Some of our team have released significant open source projects, and we certainly appreciate its value. So this is a topic that we will continue to think about deeply.
