Oh my gosh! I love Noteflight, but I think that there should be an iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad app. I really want it. It would be great! I could write music on my iPod Touch/iPhone/iPad. It doesn't have to be free, but PLEASE don't make it over $4.00. It should be free though. Also, make it so you can log in to your account and continue on one of your projects. I would love it. I don't know about others, but this happens to me ALL the time. People copy and paste from my scores and I find replicas of my own score everywhere! I don't know if this could be possible, but it would be AWESOME if there was a tool that showed if a Noteflight user copied from your score. I forgot my password so I did the password recovery and it said it would send to my email (which is definitely registered) two months ago. I tried again the other day, and still no email. Noteflight should fix this...

It would be helpful if we could play BOTH of them at the same time and hear both parts at once. For example, I have written a cello accompaniment to an original song that my friend wrote and put on YouTube, and it would be nice to play her video at the same time as Noteflight plays my score that has the cello part.

I would like to use Noteflight offline while on my computer. I want to use Noteflight at my school, but the school's security blocks it, for some reason. The admin staff said that if there was a download, they would allow it! Please make one!

I understand that noteflight needs to make a profit, but it would be better to do so in a way that does not conflict with creativity. After filling up the 10 scores, i am discouraged from using noteflight. A better strategy would be to allow me to explore the capacities of the website and convince me to purchase crescendo based on other features.

Arco Basses & other Pizzicato Instruments [updated]

I use arco very much. I would like an arco bass version, as well as pizzicato versions of the common string instruments (violin, viola, cello)

Numbered Repeats and Rests [updated]

I've noticed that my pieces get a little bit bulky since they repeat a lot. There's a notation used in music that looks something like a reversed "%" sign which designates that a measure is to be repeated x amount of times, or those two measures need to be repeated x amount of times, etc. I know you have the repeat feature, but it would be great if there was notation so that the reader wouldn't be so intimidated by all the notes. Could you implement this feature? Also do the same thing with multiple rests, numbering them as you go along. (The rests one should be easier.

We all know of the thing that floats around when you edit the sheet music. It's the thing that has the quarter notes, the eight notes and of course dynamics and the tablature and everything else. I can't stand the fact that it moves around. It gets in my way when I'm trying to edit the sheet music. Wouldn't it be great if it stays like on the side of the editor? Like, maybe in the upper right hand corner or upper left hand corner? Just so it stays out of our way. Won't it be much easier?

Just thought that glissando's would be a useful feature. I happen to be a trombonist (which still hasn't been added) and would like to see glissando's added. I do appreciate that it would be hard to script a piano glissando, but I hope you will be able to do something about this. Thanks in advance.

Wouldn't Noteflight be more fun and interesting if we had a random button that we could click on? It would take us to a random public score. This could bring attention to music that we may have never heard before.

Noteflight users submitted ideas so that they could use the ideas for free. Now, Cresendo has basically "taken away" the ideas and used them for Noteflight's profit. I like the idea of new instruments, etc., but only if they were for free. I thought Noteflight's purpose was to help everyone receive free music composing online software. I am very disappointed. Please review your decision. I really don't want to have to pay for such a great program like Noteflight

When forums are around for a long time, they should be bumped back to the top of the forum list when somebody comments. If Forum A stars, and everybody comments on it, then when somebody comments on forum B, I have to go 3 pages back to comment on forum A again, but forum A should just be second on the list so people continue commenting on it

If you put a tremolo on a mallet instrument, snare drum, cymbal, etc, it should maybe play a recording of that roll, instead of very CHOPPY, ANNOYING, roll-ish things. So if i wanted to play a four mallet marimba chord for a half measure or measure or so, it should sound like a roll, not 32nd or 64th notes. -_-

What would be nice is if any element that can be selected can be hidden—barlines, clefs, time signatures, even staves, among others. Sometimes I have a part with rests for sixty measures that I don't want to show up in the score until they come in.

I often use the left and right arrows in Sibelius to check I have the right pitches in a melody line. When you move to the next note it plays it, so you can easily preview the note without having to go back and hit the play button each time.

All my students play the soprano recorder so many of them are trying to find this in the instrument set - they won't take flute as a substitute... Any chance of featuring this, at least in the Classroom Edition?

Youtube and mygamebuilder has a views/plays count on the project. It would be great to have that same feature on this site.

There should be a system where you can "favorite" a specific user instead of their individual pieces. Sometimes a user has many scores, and you like all of them!

I was really disappointed to find that Noteflight doesn't have half-sharps and half-flats! And I was very surprised to see that double-dotted notes are impossible. Adding these things would create ease for composers and eliminate the need for many otherwise useless notes that could be replaced with a simple dot. Half-flats are my life when it comes to music; I haven't been able to make a REAL song on Noteflight yet. :(

Make a way to remove triplets!!! [updated]

I created a triplet in a score, and could not figure out how to remove the triplet after realizing I had made a mistake. I was forced to use undo, and when I discovered that the undo history did not go back far enough, I had to exit the score and go to the last save which, thankfully did not include the dreaded triplet. Maybe a "Remove Tuplet" button in the Score pannel?

NoteFlight Unlimited would be a kind of membership you could buy that would give you unlimited scores. It's like this: Free/Basic = 10 Scores + basic instruments Unlimited = unlimited scores + basic instruments Picky = basic everything + buy other things individually. Crescendo = the full suite, Instruments scores and all. So, what does anybody think?
